Kasteel Nieuwenhoven is located in a beautiful, fertile location surrounded by forests and farmlands in the south of Belgian Limburg. From the year 800 onwards, two farms and four castles stood here successively, built and brought down under the influence of the vagaries of history.
The landscape around the castle still has the structure of the 19th century "English style" landscaped garden. Nearby area are old forests that belonged to the castle domain for centuries and are now part of the Province of Limburg park system.
Come with us for an inspiring walk through the castle and its surroundings and hear about it's whimsical history from abbots, counts and barons to modern habitation.
From April to October there is a tour every Sunday at 11am. This starts at the entrance of the bistro and no pre-registration is required. Costs 4 euros, children under 10 free.
